Bill Dochnahl
Director/GIS Specialist Mr. Dochnahl has a variety of full-time professional experience in geography, planning and GIS fields. He has significant experience in map and graphic creation as well as data analysis for a variety of projects, and has performed field GPS data collection for biological, geological and cultural purposes. He has been responsible for ensuring accuracy and quality of finished maps as well as producing deliverables in a timely manner. Mr. Dochnahl has extensive experience with data creation and management. He has expertise with using precision GPS equipment in the field and has trained field scientists and personnel in the use of the Trimble GPS and basic ArcMap applications. Previously, Mr. Dochnahl was responsible for development of figures for various departments within a Southern California environmental consulting firm, including biology, transportation, air and noise quality, cultural resources, and jurisdictional delineation. Earlier in his career, Mr. Dochnahl worked with the Pipeline group of another environmental consulting firm, using his GIS skills to create design maps and project proposal figures to be used in construction of oil and gas pipelines. This group utilized software not specifically made for pipeline design to invent a new way of creating construction alignment sheets. He was specifically responsible for discovering capabilities and implementing the software in the process and then training others on how to accomplish the same results. She holds an M.F.A. in Creative Writing and a B.A. in English Literature. Ms. Ruane worked in the environmental consulting industry with companies including Professional Service Industries, Inc. (PSI) and ATC Associates, Inc. (now Cardno ATC). She has held positions including project development coordinator, proposal writer and field report coordinator. She has been responsible for business communication for service lines including Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Asbestos and Lead Paint Assessment and Abatement Oversight, Leaking Underground Storage Tank (LUST) Operations and Maintenance, and Construction Materials Testing and Inspections. In her role with ATC Associates, Inc., she coordinated the preparation of proposal responses for the west region including Arizona, California, Colorado, Washington, Oregon and Wyoming.
